MIDDLE-LEVEL AND SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining complex data systems, as well as a passion for data-driven solutions and innovation. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines, data storage systems, and data-driven solutions, and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of large-scale data pipelines to collect, store, and process massive amounts of data.
• Oversee the maintenance and optimization of data storage systems, such as databases and data warehouses.
• Mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers to identify and resolve data-related issues.
• Develop and automate large scale, high-performance data processing systems (batch and/or streaming) to drive business growth and improve the product experience.
• Design, build and maintain optimized data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions as business support tools in providing analysis and real-time analytics platform for critical decision making.
• Develop data stores, including warehouses, data lakes, data marts, etc., to support the BI and operational research initiatives.
• Monitoring the data quality of data pipelines in the data platform
• Develop and maintain best practices and standards for data management and engineering.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience working in a Data Engineer role, handling large volumes of data through ETL processes.
• Experience with optimizing ETL tasks, designing dimensional data models, and developing effective ETL processes to support business needs. Proficient in ETL development, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience with workflow management tools, such as Airflow, to automate and manage ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Scala or Java.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with various types of databases such as relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL), data warehouses (PostgreSQL), and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Neo4j).
• Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Hive.
• Experience with designing and implementing OLAP solutions using ElasticSearch is a plus.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Zeppelin, PowerBI, or Tableau is preferred.
• Worked with Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
