JUNIOR DATA ENGINEER

We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data-driven solutions and innovation, with a strong foundation in data engineering concepts and technologies. In this role, you will work alongside our data engineers to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, data storage systems, and data-driven solutions. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your skills, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with other data engineers to design and implement data pipelines to collect, store, and process large volumes of data.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.
• Develop and automate data processing systems (batch and/or streaming) to drive business growth and improve the product experience.
• Build and maintain optimized data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions to provide analysis and real-time analytics platform for critical decision making.
• Develop and maintain data stores, including warehouses, data lakes, data marts, etc., to support the BI and operational research initiatives.
• Assist in monitoring the data quality of data pipelines in the data platform.
• Follow best practices and standards for data management and engineering.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 1+ years of experience working in a Data Engineer role, handling large volumes of data through ETL processes.
• Familiarity with ETL tasks, dimensional data models, and developing effective ETL processes to support business needs.
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Hive.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and eagerness to learn from other data engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
